Bloomsburg Duals - Women

BLOOMSBURG - The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team wrapped up a successful weekend hosting the BU Duals with an 8-1 win over Concordia College on Saturday. Overall,the Huskies went 3-0 on the weekend and improved their record to 15-1 on the year.

Against Concordia, Bloomsburg swept the doubles matches and then won five of the six singles matches to take the 8-1 victory. In doubles play, the team of Torie Cunningham (Greenlawn, NY/Harborfields) and Allison Carney (Muncy/Muncy) picked up the easiest win taking their match 8-1. In singles, Cunningham picked up a 6-0, 6-0 win over her opponent.

In other Duals action on Saturday, Queens College picked up a 5-1 win over Bryant College and a 5-3 win over Bentley College while Slippery Rock downed Bryant 5-1.

Up next for Bloomsburg, the Huskies will play host to West Chester on Monday at 12:00 noon in both men's and women's action.
